Getting into Dubai, United Arab Emirates:
All guests are required to have a current passport. Visas are required for most nationalities. If you are a resident of another country please contact your local Embassy.

Driving Licence:
An International Driving Permit license may be required depending on the country issued.
List of countries that do not require an international driving license.
(Australia , Austria , Bahrain , Belgium , Brazil* , Canada (Quebec*) , China , Croatia , Cyprus , Denmark , Estonia , Finland , France , Germany , Great Britain , Greece , Hong Kong , Ireland , Italy , Japan* , Kuwait , Lithuania , Luxembourg , Malta , Malaysia , Netherland , New Zealand , Norway , Oman , Poland , Portugal , Qatar , Romania , Saudi Arabia , Singapore , Slovakia* , Slovenia , South Africa , South Korea* , Spain , Sweden , Switzerland , Turkey , USA)

Insurance:
Our motorcycles come with thirty party liability only. Optional Comprehensive insurance (limiting the liability to 5,000 AED within the UAE and 8,000 outside the UAE) can be purchased. You are responsible for the bike you are riding at any given time. A complete walk-around check will be done prior to accepting the motorcycle and all flaws (if any) will be identified at that time and documented. We certainly don’t want to charge you for anything that is not responsible. And we expect the same from our customers.

Medical Requirements:
Dubai boasts having numerous clinics and hospitals as well as famous health care facilities. Please be sure to obtain travel insurance for your stay in the United Arab Emirates (we suggest this includes medical coverage for adventure holidays and trip cancellation insurance).

Your guides are equipped with telecommunication capabilities and can secure help very quickly. Please let the guides know if you have a medical condition that would require special procedures in case of emergency, (for example certain allergies to medications or diabetes). If you are taking medication, we suggest you have your prescription filled for the duration of your holiday as foreign prescriptions may not be honored in UAE pharmacies.

Drugs and Alcohol:
The use of drugs or alcohol before or during the days ride is strictly forbidden! Once your motorcycle is parked, there will be plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy a few. Alcohol is not included in your holiday price. Alcohol is usually only available in hotels as only residents with a liquor license can purchase alcohol from a store.

Warning:
The UAE has very strict drug and alcohol laws and not to be taken lightly.

Drugs:
If for whatever reason, you need to give a blood or urine sample and traces of illegal drugs are found in your system, the penalties can be severe. We advise any social/casual user coming to the UAE, not to indulge in any drugs at least for one month prior to coming to the UAE.

Alcohol:
The UAE has a ZERO alcohol tolerance level. That means that drinking alcohol (any amount) and driving is absolutely forbidden by law. Transportation can be provided on booked evenings. Also, taxis are inexpensive here. So enjoy your motorcycle vacation without a worry in the world.

Currency:
The local currency in the UAE is Dirhams. There are many Money Exchangers here and the rate of exchange is very good, even better than the banks. For large item purchases, the Euro and the U.S. dollar is usually accepted.

Where to get Dirhams:
Besides your hotel, there are many banks as well as money exchangers. But, bank machines are available just about everywhere including most petrol stations. If you need money, you won’t have any trouble converting it.

Credit cards:
Visa and MasterCard can be used almost anywhere in the Gulf countries.

Voltage:
The UAE operates on 220 volts. You should bring a convertor/ adaptor if you wish to use your own small appliances.

Telephone:
There are 2 telephone Operators/Carriers in the UAE; du and Etisalat. Mobile SIM cards for your mobile phones can be purchased in retail stores at most shopping malls. Rates are very reasonable and both operators offer high-quality level telephone service. Whatever is available in most western countries is available in Dubai.
For directory inquiry services, depending on which service provider you select, you either dial 199 (du) or dial 181 (Etisalat).

Gasoline:
All our motorcycles are high-end machines and require premium fuel. Fuel is not included in your holiday price. There are petrol stations all over the country. Fortunately, the cost of fuel is relatively cheap here, so you won’t need a lot of cash for your fuel, maybe 60 Euros for the entire week.

Food/Restaurants (For 7 and 9-day tours):
All breakfasts are included in your holiday price. And we’re talking about a “full” breakfast with a large variety of fresh fruit, juices, meats, eggs, pastry, etc. The quality of the food here is great. Just about anything your palate desires is available here and at very reasonable prices.
As stated in the itinerary, all breakfasts are included as well as an Arabian night buffet one evening and a Dhow cruise dinner on another night. Depending on the group’s preferences, more group dinners can be arranged through your guide. Remember...we are at your service.

Taxis:
There are plenty of taxis around and they are reasonably priced. They are mostly all new cars and the drivers are all uniformed. Most drivers are from India or Pakistan and can usually understand where you want to go. You can just wave them down or just walk to any hotel and there are usually some there waiting for a customer. They are all metered, so there’s no argument about the fare. It’s customary to tip them a bit also but not necessary.

Camels and Goats:
On our rides through the desert, you will definitely see camels and often, they will be crossing the road. You will need to slow down and let them continue crossing and then continue slowly until we completely passed them. The same applies if they are simply on the side of the road. You never know when they can bolt across the road due to the loud noises from the Harley exhaust pipes.

Your safety is our prime concern:

The following is a list of several safety tips that you have probably heard before but are always useful to be reminded of. Also, below are several things to remember when riding with a group and the guide.

Speed:
The UAE probably has more speed control cameras than anywhere else in the world. Seldom, will get stopped by the police but you will get heavy fines. The average speeding fine is approx. 175 Euros and that’s for over 20 km over the speed limit. When riding in a group, the average speed is usually around 110 to 120 Km/hour on a desert highway. Therefore, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll get a speeding ticket when you’re with the group but when out on your own. Just pay attention to the signs and you shouldn’t have a problem.
If you do receive a speeding ticket, it will be charged to your credit card along with a copy of the speeding ticket. Also, if you don’t feel comfortable riding at our speeds, don’t hesitate to address it with the road captain/guide. We do have a solution. So, don’t speed, don’t waste money on speeding tickets and live longer.

Group Riding:
We are very experienced at riding in a group. There’s something to be said about the look and feel of riding in harmony, like an orchestra all playing in synch. But, in order for it to work, all must be on the same page and agree to the principles of group riding. We will instruct you on what is expected and guide you on how to implement it. You will enjoy group riding with us.

Reckless riding and Showing-off:
This type of behavior will not be tolerated. Showing-off means you are not only risking your own safety but the safety of others. An accident resulting from showing-off or reckless riding will result in your expulsion from the tour, the return of motorcycle and you will not receive a refund. You will be allowed to stay at the resort for the remainder of the allotted time.
